Big news, little news.

When Heather got back from her trip, she asked if we needed to go grocery shopping, but I told her we were fine except that we were out of milk. So she went to the store the next day or so and brought back some MILK SPAWNED FROM THE DEVIL. This stuff is pure evil. It creeps me out just to look at it,
What she brought back was Ultra Fat Free Milk, which is like skim milk with extra calcium. But it’s creepy. Milk is white. Everyone knows that. This milk is white. Pure white. Like the color of straight Elmer’s Glue, only with the consistency of milk. Even whole milk isn’t this white. It has added calcium, too, so it feels sort of…chunky…from time to time. Like little pieces of added calcium that didn’t get mixed in completely, or something. But the color is the main thing that creeps me out. My sister used to put food coloring in my milk when I was a kid just for fun and make me drink it, and that was always sort of weird, too. Milk is supposed to be white, but it’s not supposed to be the color of bleached socks. I’m sure if you put this stuff underneath a black light, it would glow like a star. A really, really close one.
I told her that we’re getting regular skim milk next time. I’ll finish up what we have, but the evil, creepy milk must go.
This week was actually pretty busy for me, believe it or not. I had some work from Martin to do, and it took up a lot of time. I had to call wastewater system operators around the state and survey them about a few things. It was actually pretty tough. I ended up only getting 23 responses in three days of work, which was far less than what I wanted to get, but wastewater operators are tough to get ahold of. They’re usually out in the field, and since I didn’t have a business contact number I couldn’t leave a number for them to call me back at, and so if I didn’t get ahold of them, I had to make a note and call back later. In fact, I didn’t get ahold of a single operator on Wednesday, which is another reason for my low numbers. I made about 25 calls or so, but all I got were ringing phones and voicemails. Maybe a wastewater operators’ holiday…? Anyway, I sent my survey results to Martin, so hopefully, he can get some use out of my low numbers. I made some more money, though, so that’s a start.
Other than that, it’s been a pretty slow week. A bit of work, some TV, a little bit of gaming. Oh yeah, I was hired for a full time job, too. Bye bye now!
