Another week, blah blah.

Blah, my silly website decided that it didn’t want to work for the last day or so and I didn’t realize it. Well, the site itself was up, but any administrative abilities I had (as well as any other people’s abilities to view old entries, search the site, etc) vanished up in smoke after the upgrade of the software that runs the backend part of the blogging and organizational aspects. I didn’t realize this, however, until I tried to log in to my site and write an entry.

So I quickly began troubleshooting on my server and eventually discovered the problem. The upgrade basically undid a bunch of changes I’d made when I first got my server set up, so I just had to remember what my changes were. Naturally I couldn’t, so I headed online for the answer. No sweat.

I’ve been playing less of my game, I’m sure many of you are happy to hear. Certainly not for multiple hours in a row (or all day long, in some cases) like I was a couple of weeks ago, but I hit a plateau where there wasn’t much else I could do with my character.

For now. That’ll change.

I went to lunch with my sister today and noticed that public schools have the day off today, as well as yesterday. Two days for President’s Day? I guess they have to cut days somewhere. It’s too bad they have to hide it as a four-day weekend for a holiday that few remember until it’s the day of. I mean why not call it a “We had to cut days somewhere so here’s an extra day off” day? That’s pretty much all it is. I never got President’s Day off. Certainly not in college, where Labor Day, President’s Day, and MLK’s Birthday passed without much else beyond wondering why the mail center was closed when I went in to pick up my mail. But as I said, they have to cut days somewhere.

The rest of this week wil be spent…well, I don’t know how it’s going to be spent, honestly. I’m waiting for Martin to email me about getting back to work on something so I can get some cash coming in, but until he writes me there’s nothing I can do. THis weekend I *may* have some plans to do something, but nothing’s been arranged there in concrete, either. So I suppose I’ll keep playing my game, maybe start a new book since I have a pile that I’ve started. Hopefully I can get through a few I’ve been meaning to for awhile.

Sadly, that is all I have. Pictures? Perhaps…soon enough, at least.
