Yeah, this is definitely easier for updating.

So I didn’t actually get around to working on my website today, but I thought about it a lot. Yesterday I got all but one month of my previous entries in the database, and I thought a bit about what else I could do. I was up late, though, and since my brain was starting to fry, I thought it best to call it a night. I might hold off on that last month for a bit, though, since it involves a bit more thinking than I’d like to do at the moment. Next on my list is getting the front page a bit more decorative again, with my logo, my link buttons, and finally the form to allow you all to subscribe to an automatic mailing list when I update. That way, I don’t have to send out emails anymore.
So today I got up around the same time (10 AM), but what made today nice was that the Oxygen channel was doing a 6-hour “La Femme Nikita” marathon. I’ve been watching LFN for a long time, now, but since it went off the air a couple of years ago, I didn’t know where it was airing until late last year when Dan (who’s also a fan) told me that it was on Oxygen. I didn’t have the time to watch it at school, but now that I’m home and unemployed with nothing to do, I relish the idea of watching it Monday through Friday. Good stuff. I didn’t watch all six hours today, though, since I’d seen all of them before–and quite recently, too. They’ve been running all five seasons through from start to finish, and they just finished the fifth season recently and cycled back to the first again, most of which I’ve never seen. All six of today’s episodes were ones from the fourth season, which I saw just a few weeks ago. I took the opportunity to take a jog and a walk around noon instead, and this time I made it further than I have before.
Oh yeah, maybe I should mention, I’ve taken up casual jogging as part of my exercise. I still use the exercise stuff here at my Mom’s, and when the weather is cooler I still take walks, but I started using my Dad’s treadmill when I was over there. No sweat, substitues walks on my odd schedule that I tend to keep over there, but eventually I started to jog on the treadmill since it’s just slightly faster. Last weekend I went 2.6 miles while jogging, so I thought hey, I can do it for real when I go back over to my Mom’s! I went out on Monday, started jogging through my shorter walking route, and not even halfway through the route, I had to stop because I was so beat. I went 2.6 miles on the treadmill and barely got winded, but on hard pavement I couldn’t go very far. That and my knee felt like it was trying to tear itself away from my body and run away. I guess some body parts don’t fall into line as easily as the rest of your body. Anyhow, after that I only jogged to get my heartrate up after exercising, just a jog around the block (just under a mile according to Yahoo! Maps). So anyhow, today I went again, took the same route, and I got a bit further. Yahoo told me I went about 1.5 miles this time, exactly halfway through my shorter walking route. If I had a flatter route, I’d go further, but I have a bunch of hills that I have to go up and down. Ug. Treadmill is more like it. My knee didn’t hurt after that first time, though my calves and ankles feel pretty good again.
So that’s been my day. I’ve been lounging around ever since I got back from my jog, pretty much doing nothing. I’ve been cleaning stuff up for the house cleaning tomorrow since I pretty much just moved all the stuff I couldn’t organize LAST time the house was cleaned into the room across the hall. Whoops, that room is going to be used in a couple of weeks, guess I better get it cleared out.
Ooo, before I forget, I watched a program last night on the World War II channel (I mean the History Channel, my bad) about comic books. It was two hours long, way longer than I expected it to be, and it kept me up until 3 AM learning about the history of comics. I didn’t realize it, but comics used to be considered an actual art form by people other than pimply faced geeks like I used to be. I mean, I have a comic collection–small, but respectable–but I look at them about once a year. The program I watched interviewed the CEO of the comic company I ususally buy from (a small publisher named Dark Horse Comics, based in Milwaukee, Oregon, of all places), which was unexpected, since they put him alongside the CEOs of Marval and DC, as well as writers and artists such as Stan Lee. And Kevin Smith, which was pretty funny. Kevin Smith is the guy who wrote and directed Clerks, Dogma, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy, but he also runs a comic book shop and I think he used to write or draw for DC. I like Dark Horse comics because they have some very original, non-superhero comics. Actually, they had the comic rights to Aliens, Predator, Terminator, Star Wars, and some others at one point. Most of the comics I own are Aliens and Predator, actually, but that’s another story for another update.
OK, I think I’m going to get back to lounging. Another Friday night at home since I have no money. Good thing there’s plenty of things on TV, plus of course, my huge DVD collection that I could paw through. Later, all.

Yeah, very much time for a shave.

hahah the Oxygen Channel….like I said, if you’re stupid enough to get attacked by a drunk cat, then you’d better just let the intoxicated feline kill you because you’re better off dead anyway. Otherwise you might procreate and produce more stupid people

What personal info do you have on me to remember? I’m only leaving this comment to learn how. I don’t really have a comment, Andrew, except to say I’m amazed at your prolific-ness? prolificity? Man, you prolific.
