I actually got more than one hair cut, but you know what I mean.

I gave myself (and everyone who reads this trip) a break last night by not doing an entry. There’s only so much you can say about doing nothing, no? Yesterday I just hung around at my Dad’s for awhile, watched TV, ran on the treadmill, that sort of thing. I did drive up to the little shopping ceneter up by the local grocery store and I got my hair cut. I really needed it, too, as you could see in the pictures I was putting at the end of my news posts until I began doing updates on different computers as well as my desktop. I was trying to remember when I last got my hair cut, and the best I can figure, it was about three months ago a couple of weeks before graduation. I’m sure if I *really* wanted to know I could go check my archives, but it’s not that important to me. I certainly got a better haircut than I did last time, buit I did pay twice as much. That’s not as much as it sounds, actually, since the last time I got my hair cut I went to the beauty school in Beloit and got my hair cut by a student for about $5. Good deal, but it’s a crapshoot. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes it sucks. Last time was one of the bad ones, and there have only been a couple. My hair finally grew into it the bad cut, but there were parts of it that even until yesterday that looked funny. Well no more. I splurged and spent $12 on a cut, and it feels much better now. I’ll try and get a picture when I do an update tomorrow, perhaps.

When I went up to get my hair cut, I also rented a movie. I looked through Blockbuster, but I couldn’t find anything that tickled my fancy until I got out of the new releases and browsed through older movies. I finally settled on “Gosford Park,” which I’ve been wanting to see since I first saw the trailer for it. In any case, it was good. I recommend it if you like murder mystery type movies, or even just period pieces. I wanted to snack while I watched it, so I also picked up a few bags of good microwave popcorn. When I went upstairs to make it before the movie, even after 3:30 the kernels had stopped popping and only half the bag was done. What a waste. Half the kernels didn’t pop. I made another bag tonight to eat while I watched “For Your Eyes Only” (one of the Bond movies) and it came out like it was supposed to, thank goodness.

Today I went out to lunch with my Dad at yet another McMenamin’s pub/restaurant, althoguh we’ve been to this particular one many times. I love going to McMenamin’s because not only do they have good food, but they also all brew their own beer, making for a good experience. I ended up getting a kind that I normally get and another that I don’t just for variety. They have four beers that they all make all the time, so I got two of them mixed together: Ruby Ale, which has a nice rasberry taste, and Hammerhead, a good ale. The result? Rubyhead. Not a bad beer, if I don’t say so myself.

So now I’m back at my Mom’s house courtesy of my Dad’s Ford Escape. I came back and played my game for a little while, then I settled in the watch a Bond movie that I’ve never seen all of before. Not a bad night. I’m lying on my bed watching “Seinfeld” again, so I think I’ll take my leave for the night. I have to go out and mail a couple of packages tomorrow, so at least I’ll get out of the house for a bit. Night, all.

The Wisconsin Riveters is a Women’s Tackle football team for the state of Wisconsin. Last year was our first year as an expansion team and won the National Conference title with the right to go to the championship game. We ended our season with an 11-1 record. Our first year, we also received a Proclamation from the Mayor of Kenosha, a Certificate of Commendation from the Governor of Wisconsin and our General Manager received a person of the year award from WLIP Radio station. For the 2002 season all home games were played in Kenosha, WI. However this year the Riveters would like to play three home games in Milwaukee, WI and one in Kenosha.

We would like to take this opportunity to talk to you about opportunities with the team. We would like to team up to help promote the sport. This can be done with ticket sales to the student body, a playing field, recruiting players, recruiting coaches, having internships with our organization and autograph sessions. This is just to name a few of the possibilities with the team.

If you would like to become part of History for the state of Wisconsin and help promote Women’s football please email us or call 262-551-0322. Feel free to also check out our website at http://www.WisconsinRiveters.com.

Thank you for your time, we look forward to working with you.

    Sincerely,

    Wisconsin Riveters
