Everyone with jobs probably hates me already.

I don’t mean to brag, but I just squandered an entire day. I wouldn’t call it wasted, but I certainly frittered it away doing almost nothing. Last night I started the download of a free trial of an online role-playing game that I really have no intention of buying and paying to play, but this way I get 15 days to try it out and play it. Anyhow, I have a special connection with this game, I feel. My freshmen year of college, when I was stuck at school for fall break all by myself, I played the beta test of the first version of the game. All week long. Day and night. There were days I totally missed because I was so engrossed in the game. Well the one I downloaded last night was the sequel to the game, and the same thing happened. I started playing around 11 AM, and I pretty much played straight through until after 5. Around 3:30, I realized I hadn’t had any lunch, so I grabbed a bowl of cereal and ate it as I played. After I ate dinner at 5:30, I went back in and played until 8 PM. I had played through “La Femme Nikita” that I normally watch every weekday (and which is my usual exercise time), played through “Married With Children” that I watch as I get ready for dinner, and then I played through “Friends” and “Seinfeld” that I normally watch while I eat. Well, around 8 when I was slain by a monster that poisoned me, I figured that about 8 hours of play was enough for the day.
So now I’m watching “Law and Order” after a shower. I actually did go and exercise after all, although I got a better one than had I done it this afternoon during”La Femme Nikita.” It was too hot to take a walk or jog this afternoon, so taking a mile and a half job and finishing up with a mile and a half walk at 8 PM was the perfect temperature.
Tomorrow I plan on actually going out and getting things accomplished. I have two packages to mail, and then I’m going downtown to have coffee with a friend from one of my Corvallis choirs who I haven’t seen in ages. After that, the sky’s the limit.
And speaking of which, maybe I’ll wait for the endorphins to stop pumping through my body after my jog/walk (and my hair to dry) and then I’ll go finish that quest I was doing when I got killed. I have to finish that one within an alotted amount of time or I lose the reward. It doesn’t sound like much of an incentive to go shut my brain down again for awhile, but hey, I’m hooked. When I get to the end of the 15 day trial, I’ll probably just uninstall the game unless I come across something really spectacular in the next two weeks.
OK, back to TV. Night, everyone.

Hey, Andrew, you don’t make it as easy to email you after reading your website. I’m not sure I want to “comment” to everyone!
Check your spelling of “calendar”.
Have you considered posting a job application on pugetsoundhelpwanted.com ? They advertise a lot around here, and I don’t know if you want to relocate out of the Portland area, but it is only a few hours away. And I don’t know if it’s a very useful site, but you might check it out.
That’s all for now!

You suck! I don’t like computer games but I would’ve rather played them all day than worked for 11 hours. You make me sick
